Dark tower 1,2,3 Boxed set.

Post by 98Superglide »

Hi guys,
I'm gradually replacing all my old paperbacks. I'm wondering if the boxed set they put out with the reprinted Gunslinger, drawing and wastelands is worth buying? Am I better off ( with the exception of Gunslinger) going for f/f 1st editions, and/ or grabbing AE where possible? Im not in a position to buy signed copies, and I won't be for some time. I'm going cross eyed looking at the different options, and I want to make a firm decision on which way I'm going before I buy the first lot. Thanks for any help.

Go for the Viking hardback reprints.

The Grant boxed set contains a third printing of Gunslinger, a second printing of Drawing of the Three and a first printing of Waste Lands. It's a nice set to have. The Viking set has the revised Gunslinger. which is also nice. It's difficult to get first printings of the next two, but it IS possible. (Most sellers don't understand how to read the number line on the copyright page.) You could end up paying a premium for those first printings.
